Last Christmas I received some fabric from Robert and Crystal. There were 2 pieces, a pretty white, and a lovely piece of purple rose fabric. For the next several months the material remained in the box, while I waited, for one, to get a coordinating fabric, the other to get a good idea of what to use it for. The idea came about a month ago.
With a pattern of Crystal's for inspiration, I looked through our patterns to find one similar and found Simplicity 5795 (this is not a vintage pattern, but I couldn't find it anywhere online, instead I found a vintage pattern by the same number). With this pattern I set out to make a dress with the pretty fabric (picked out by Robert, I might add!).
With no further ado, here are pictures of the making of my dress.

The fabric, buttons, and ribbon

The bodice

Sewing the skirt

This was just for fun!

Pinning the skirt to the bodice

The dress without ribbon, zipper and probably without hem! :D

Ribbon has been added

And the finished product!
I'll try to get better pictures of it.

I really think you need a new picture of that dress. That's not what it looks like! It's SO much prettier when you can see it better.:)
Very pretty!! The fabric is wonderful. :)
