Colonial outfits

This morning we were in a parade, one of the largest in our area..... actually it might be the largest! :D Anyway, we all dressed up in colonial outfits to go with our Campaign for Liberty float. Most of us had outfits from our trip to Jamestown last year but certain ones of us had grown out of the old stuff. :D

Daniel, looking cool :)

The 3 boys, Daniel in his new costume (he made the breeches and bag, I made the jacket and vest and Mom made the shirt), Ben in his new jacket and breeches, and Luke in his new jacket

And I made myself a cloak, this is the best picture I could find, after the parade when I'd taken off my cap and straw hat. :)

Those are great Hannah! How fun to be able to sew up some new outfits, get dressed up and go out.

Cool Hannah! I like dressing up like that (when I'm not the only one) I should probably make myself a couple costumes. All I have at this point is my medieval one that Abbie wore. Fun though...

Those are cool outfits. Modern teenagers should start it as a style.

Heather, you should come over sometime and we could dress up! :) I like dressing up too, though usually if I do it's by myself, simply because not everyone in my family has time or wants to dress up. :)
Vernon and Hannah, yes, we were all in the parade... except for Mom, she stayed home.
Lincoln, you get some "modern" teenagers to dress like that, all the time and I might join them! :)Actually, I like old fashions, I just don't know if I would wear clothes like that ALL the time.... not to mention that fact that, while I like some of the colonial clothes, they aren't my favorite style, there are some others that I would prefer! :D
Kasie, if you make yourself a colonial outfit I want to see it! :)
