East and west...

I've been to both coasts, in California and North Carolina!! :)



As many of you know, my sisters (and now myself) are members of HomeSchool Alumni (a.k.a. HSA). Amber and Angela have been members almost since it started. Every year (except last year) there has been a national reunion, gathering members from all over the country in one place for a weekend and so far A&A have been to all of them. This year the reunion was in North Carolina, pretty close to my great friend Jessica! All 3 of my sisters planned (Abbie later than the other 2) to go to the reunion and I had the choice of going there or going to spend the weekend with Jessica and her family. Guess which one I chose! ;)

First off after lunch and a tad bit of shopping, we headed out to the Sliding Rock

It was really cool, even if I did only go down once (I have my reasons for not going again, believe me!). Unfortunately we don't have any pictures of me going down. We've got Jessica, Jennifer and Jeremy though! ;)

After the sliding rock we went to see a waterfall or two.

Friday was spent pretty much relaxing around the house... until just after supper when Jess, Jenn, Jeremy and I loaded up and headed to dance practice!

Then came Saturday and the beach!!! I had never been to the beach until a few years back when I went to CA with my oldest sister and her family. That was one more time than most of my family had ever seen any ocean. Now I've seen both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans! :)
