Weekend Trip (#3)

              Sunday we woke up at about 7 (at least the girls in my room did), went down for breakfast and then headed out to the ranch to ride horses!!! I was a little apprehensive as to how that would go. Last time I rode a horse I was 6 or 7 (MAYBE 8) and always had to ride with someone else. So yeah, it's been over 10 years and I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. The only thing I knew was that horses are big compared to me and I knew next to nothing about them!  So we loaded up in the various vehicles and headed out.

Flash. Anyone who knows me knows that I have a weakness for big dogs. Gavin knew this so got a picture of Flash for me. :)

I moved to the bigger pen to "practice making him do what I wanted him to" while Gavin and some others got their horses and took over the little pen.

We were both so tired we were kinda dazed... but this turned out kinda neat so I like it :)

     At last we headed back to the hotel, got cleaned up and went to the main room where we'd gather for the evenings. There was talk of dancing again but that never happened. Instead we ended up in several little clusters around the room, some playing a game, some talking and laughing (that was the group on the bed) and some talked and jammed.

After supper Settles of Catan came out

The bed... it's rulers... and their victims! They started with me during supper... then moved on to Katie while we were TRYING to do some singing.

I moved off the afore-mentioned bed so Gavin and I could play together... where we could actually hear each other

I wonder what he was saying... apparently it was interesting. :)

  And so ended the last evening of all of us together, though it was by no means the last of the fun. :) We decided to go to bed sometime between 11 and 12 though even after that some of our group stood in the hallway talking for I don't know how long - I went to bed. :)
