Week's overview

It was Wednesday, 2 days before the planned arrival of a certain very special young man. OCC was having their annual Preaching Teaching Convention and Gavin got permission from Dad to take me. He would arrive on Friday, the convention started on Monday. I couldn't help but hope that maybe he'd decided to surprise me and show up on Thursday but as far as I really knew the plan was for him to get here Friday.  But here it was Wednesday and a bad storm was moving in from the west. I kept an eye on it, knowing the main part was heading right toward his home and his route. I really didn't want anything to happen to call off his trip... but I didn't want him to risk anything driving in it either.
It was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon. We'd gotten caught up on orders but the area of the warehouse that I am responsible for was a mess! I hadn't been able to do much stocking up till then and boxes were piling up, especially in the back corner. So, armed with my box knife, my phone (for music) and a step-ladder, I headed back there to work until time to go home.  So there I was, minding my own business, listening to a song by Celtic Woman, surrounded by a pile of boxes when suddenly I heard a familiar voice behind me.
   "You look busy."
First semi-conscious thought: one of my coworkers (most of whom are guys) had come back for some reason. It happened too fast for me to really even have time to recognize his voice. I turned.  And there, standing at the other end of the row with a grin on his face and a beautiful bouquet of flowers in his hand, stood Gavin! Yep, it was definitely a surprise!  What followed was a week that was most likely the best week of my life so far!!!

Went sledding

Yes, he is wearing short-sleeves... and no, it was NOT warm enough for that!

Saturday we did a quick photo shoot after a trip to Hobby Lobby with A&A

Monday-Wednesday were spent at the convention and, unfortunately, we didn't get many pictures (as far as I know). We DID get more snow though and Wednesday afternoon we came back to the house to be greeted by snowmen! :D

I know, I know, there's not a whole lot of detail here. That will, hopefully, come later. The convention was fantastic! I hope to do a post later about that (especially our favorite speaker from the event, David Haynes from Nebraska Christian College), but for now, you'll have to be satisfied with these few pictures. :)
