Thursday

Then came Thursday: graduation day. That day there was no joint morning worship at the Truman building. Instead we set out as committees almost immediately for our prayer walk, and devotions. I think that day I liked our prayer walk better than I had the previous days.
My committee

I don’t remember what else we did that morning, but we had our last committee meeting at lunch and gathered for the last legislative session of the week. Some of the parents had come for the graduation and sat in on the session. I wonder what they thought about all the bills and debate! :)
At the graduation Mr. T. and Will were the main speakers. Everyone had received folders with their work and grades in it upon arriving back in the room, so the only things left to give out were certificates and t-shirts. As Will called our names each of us went to the front, got the certificate from Courtney and went down the short line of staffers, shaking their hands or giving hugs. After sitting down we finally got to find out the ages of the staffers: they hadn’t told us all week!
We were finished and everyone set about getting the TeenPact t-shirts and signing shirts, folders, frisbees and (for Abbie, at least) Constitutions. Goodbyes were said to those leaving then instead of staying for the public speaking class. That took away a couple of my committee members, along with quite a few other students.

Madam Governor, a.k.a. Katie

Our empty room :(

The bus wasn’t needed that afternoon: we loaded up into various vehicles and made our way to an ice cream shop. There we met 3 of the people leaving that day: Sarah, Zach and their mom had stopped for ice cream too, so we got to spend a little more time with them.
Certain people were camera happy... we have several pictures of this particular camera in the process of taking a picture of Abbie and ANGELA'S camera! :P

We also got to see some policemen learning to direct traffic. While we stood outside (it was nice outside, not to mention the fact that there wasn’t a lot of room inside the shop) some of them (the policemen) came and stood nearby. A few of our group got their picture taken with them and Jonathan walked up to the tallest of them and said “I was wondering, how tall are you?” The man was 6’4”- 2 inches shorter than Jonathan! :)

Sarah

Back at camp we changed (quite a few of us put on our TP shirts) and some went out to play Ultimate Frisbee. I can catch and throw a frisbee but I’ve never played Ultimate, so I’m afraid I didn’t play very well :) The only time my family ever played it I was in Arizona with Crystal. Besides it’s kind of hard to catch a frisbee when it’s several feet over your head and there are taller people all around you! :P

Killian was sent back to the lodge to see what time supper would be ready and we kept playing until Will said that it was time to eat (I think Killian texted him). During supper Will asked us if we wanted to visit, have worship and go to bed after we ate, or if we wanted to have worship and a talent show after supper. The latter was voted in. :)
That talent show was a lot of fun! There were several skits, songs, obstacle courses and “Meet Captain Ahab” (the last 2 by the staff).

Rendezvous that last night was a joint rendezvous for us girls: all of us gathering in one cabin. Unfortunately Hope wasn’t feeling well so she wasn’t there. :) It was kind of sad, knowing that that was the last night together and we’d be going home the next day.

Hey Hannah! Looks like you've been having a great time! (I like the video) :-D

Ultimate Frisbe is so much fun! I'm very good at it, but I can usually catch the disc if it's my height. :-)
